An Improvised Explosive Device planted near a
bank on Muritala Mohammed way in Kano, north-west Nigeria, was on
Monday, successfully detonated by the officers of the Police Anti-Bomb
Squad.
Confirming the incident, police spokesperson in the state, ASP Musa Magaji Majia, said the anti-bomb squad got to the scene as soon as the command was informed of the suspicious package.
He added that the squad successfully removed the bomb and disabled it, without any loss of life or property.
