The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory
(FCT), Senator Bala Mohammed has directed that a technical committee be
constituted to review the large expanse of land allocated to the
University of Abuja.
Speaking
in Abuja, the Minister noted that the university occupies a total land
mass of over 11,000 hectares which according to him is a waste of
resource and should be streamlined for other projects in the nation’s
capital.
The Minister therefore emphasized that his administration is committed to ensuring effective distribution of land and provision of infrastructure to enhance development in the city.
