The Abuja chapter of the Nigeria Bar
Association (NBA) has commended the just concluded local government
elections in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
Speaking with Channels Television, chairman of the chapter, Mr. Desmond Yamah said the election was peaceful and orderly.
He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the prompt movement of materials and commencement of the election.
He however expressed worry at the low turnout of voters, urging political parties and the electoral umpire to be more proactive in sensitizing Nigerians to carry out their civic duties.
