Fire Razes Another Building In Lagos

Two buildings on Jones Street around Ebute West area of Lagos has been razed by fire.

Eye witness account say that the fire which started around 8pm New Year’s Day may have been escalated by petrol stored in the first building built with planks and roofing sheets.
Properties belonging to occupants of both buildings were destroyed, including those of a newly-wed couple.
This comes barely a week after the famous Jankara Market was gutted by fire caused by a spark in a store filled with fire crackers which burnt about 15 adjoining buildings.
