The governor of Abia State, Chief Theodore
Orji, has debunked the rumoured death of the governor of Enugu Governor,
Mr Sullivan Chime, saying that he will soon be back.
The governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary Ugo Emezue, on Monday, said that Mr Chime is “Hale and Hearty.”
Mr Chime, who has being away from the helm of affairs in Enugu since September, was rumoured over the social media to have passed away in India.
According to the governor of Abia state, “Those peddling the rumours should refrain from such act as death is not what one should wish a fellow human being.”
The Abia state governor made it clear that he has been in touch with his colleague, as he also confirmed that “He (Chime) will return soon.”
He urged citizens of Enugu state to remain calm “As their Governor is in good condition.”
