In what can be described as a landmark arrest,
the Nigerian Navy has arrested a vessel, Lady Jay, allegedly carrying
8,450,000 barrels of crude oil and now at the Naval Base in Warri, Delta
state.
The vessel which is owned by a Lagos based business woman is said to have taken off from Apapa Port before it was intercepted at the coastline in Escravos near Warri.
Nine people including the Captain of the vessel were arrested, but the 10th person, an iron bender escaped through the waters.
