The Senior Special Assistant to the President
on Public Affairs, Doyin Okupe has explained that the federal
government’s fight against corruption is not a short term plan.
Addressing a press conference in Abuja, Mr Okupe said that the government is adopting a systematic, strategic and institutional approach to tackle corruption in the country.
He dismissed suggestion that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is being starved of funds, which is believed to have hampered the successful fight against corruption.
He revealed that the government is putting together a bill to reform the criminal justice system in Nigeria.
