The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar has ordered a man hunt for the killers of 13 policemen in Bayelsa state.
According to the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, DSP Frank Mba, the police will stop at nothing to ensure that the killers are not only found but brought to book as speedily as possible.
He further stated that a new standard operational procedure has been approved by the Police Management Team to reduce the vulnerability and increasing fatality rate of officers and men of the Nigerian Police Force while on duty.
Movement for Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND) has claimed responsibility for the weekend attack of the policemen at Azuzama, Southern Ijaw, in the creek of Bayelsa state.
