Officials of the Independent Corrupt Practices
and other related offences Commission,the (ICPC) have recommended the
establishment of special courts to hear cases of corruption .
Diector General of the Commission, Mr. Ekpo Nta, made this known during a meeting organized for judicial officers in Abuja.
Mr EKpo, who was represented by Director of the commission, Mr. Bako Abdullahi said “the establishment of special courts will assist in fast tracking corruption cases as well as assist the judiciary play its role in changing the corruption perception of Nigeria before the international community”.
On his part, the administrator of the National Judicial Institute, Justice Umaru Eri says that the role of judicial officers is key to changing the perception of the nation especially on issues that pertains corruption.
