Two weeks after the brutal murder of four
University of Port Harcourt students at Aluu community near the
university, security has been beefed up in the area.
A visit by Channels Television shows that the security operatives in that axis now identify residents there with a tag before being allowed in and out of the community.
Security refused Channels Television crew entry into the town for fear of being mobbed by the villagers. There are claims that the village have further moved against the media coverage and do not want the presence of journalists in the community.
About five trucks of JTF were sited at the entrance of the village and the inside is littered with men of the armed forces.
According to them, their grief is that the press have not balanced their reports and any person found around the community is tagged a suspect or an enemy.
