U-17 team the Golden Eaglets earlier today defeated Guinea 4-nil in
Conakry to qualify for the next round of the African Junior Championship
on a 7-nil aggregate.
The Eaglets won the first leg qualifier 3-nil in Calabar a fortnight ago. The Eaglets led 2-nil in the first half with goals from Alhassan Ibrahim and Isaac Success.
Success scored again in the second half to complete his brace with goal scorer Ibrahim and Ifeanyi Matthew outstanding for the visiting Nigerians.
They so far scored 17 goals and conceded only a goal in their qualifying race. The African junior championship will be staged in Morocco in April.
