One person was injured when an Improvised Explosive Device exploded near the Rikkos Police Post in Jos on Friday.
The Spokesman for the Special Task Force in Plateau State, Captain Salisu Mustapha, said in a statement in Jos, that the explosion affected the police post and three other houses.
Also affected by the blast that happened on Layin-Walin Street, Jos was one vehicle, the statement added.
It said the injured person, one Abubakar Adamu, had been taken to hospital, while investigation was ongoing on the incident.
“But the area is calm and people are going about their normal activities,” the STF spokesman said in the statement.
