The Enugu State University of Technology’s
(ESUT) Vice Chancellor, Cyprian Onyeji who was kidnapped August 15th,
was on Thursday night freed.
Reports from the ESUT campus revealed that there was a celebration galore when the news broke to the students that the Vice Chancellor had regained his freedom.
Some weeks back the students had engaged in series of prayers for the release of their VC, they were however grateful to God, saying it had brought fear and tension in the school.
According to some of the students, the social and economic activities in the institution has been put on hold since the kidnap of the Vice Chancellor.
The Public Relations Officer of the Enugu State Police Command, Ebere Amaraizu, said the vice chancellor was found in Igbariam in Anambra State.
