A paramount ruler of Okordia clan in Yenagoa local government area of Bayelsa State, The Ibenanowei, HRM, Chief Richard Seiba has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.The monarch’s Ikarama-Okordia country home residence was broken into at about 2AM by the unknown gunmen who whisked him away.
The kidnappers are reported to have launched the attack through the river (Taylor creek) and escaped with the traditional ruler through the same route, thereby avoiding the security check at the Zarama and Biseni exit.
According to family sources, the gunmen broke into his apartment through a window, destroying the metallic burglary proof.
Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Fidelis Odunwa (DSP) claimed that he is not yet aware of the incident.
