Victims Of Madalla Blast To Share N25 Million CBN Gift

The Niger State government has completed arrangements to commence the disbursement of N25 million donated to the Christmas Day bomb blast victims of 2011 in Madalla by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The Director General, Niger State Disaster Management Agency (NISEMA), Mohammed Shaba who revealed this to Channels Television in Minna explained that the church will get N5 million while the victims according to the degree of lost will get between N350, 000.00 and N1 million.
“We have completed arrangement to commence the disbursement of the money next Monday we already have the approval of the government and the Reverend of the St Theresa church,” Mr Shaba said
He further noted that the beneficiaries of this latest compensation are property owners who were affected by the 2011 Christmas day blast, as the state government has compensated both the families of the dead and the injured people.
He however explained that the criterion for sharing the N25 million was arrived at after various meeting between the church, the state government and the beneficiaries.
He also expressed gratitude to the CBN and other philanthropists who had come to the assistance of both the victims of the bomb blast which claimed over 30 lives and the recent flood that hit some parts of the state.
