The Yobe state government has imposed a new 6PM to 7AM curfew in three major towns of the state.
A statement signed by the Special Adviser to the state governor on press and information, Abdullahi Bego, listed the affected towns as Geidam, Gashua, and Buni-yadi.
The restriction is coming as four persons were on Saturday, killed in Geidam town of Geidam local government area of Yobe state by unknown gun men at a bar.
Restriction of movement according to the statement starts from 6PM to 7AM daily in the affected towns, including the state capital where movement had earlier been restricted between 10PM and 7AM.
The fresh restriction of movement according to the statement follows a meeting between the state governor, Ibrahim Gaidam and heads of security agencies in the state.
While calling for immediate compliance, the government urged the residents of the areas to accord security operatives the needed cooperation.
