As
the process of the fourth amendment of the 1999 constitution is about
to commence, Nigerians will be confronted with 43 questions that will
form the basis for the amendment at the different forum across the
country.
A delegation of members of the Federal House of Representatives from Niger state revealed this during an awareness programme in Minna, the Niger state capital.
The leader of the delegation, Honourable Eboh Eboh representing Lapai, Muya Federal Constituency informed the audience that the questions that will be produced via a questionnaire are fundamental to the constitution amendment.
According to the lawmaker, the questionnaire will be printed in local languages in a bid to attract a large audience across the country.
He also stated that questionnaires will be filled by members of the public after been thoroughly briefed in their local language by experts on the various issues.
Honourable Eboh further explained that a panel will then aggregate the views and forward it to the National Assembly for further consideration.
