Much ado about onshore/offshore dichotomy

As federal lawmakers resume this week from a long recess, the issues they will be considering include the Petroleum Industry Bill and the planned fourth amendment of the 1999 Constitution.
But while on break, there was fresh controversy over the sharing of oil revenue, as northern politicians have renewed calls for a revamp of the Onshore/Offshore Dichotomy Law.
Although the Federal Government in recent weeks has foreclosed a review of the law and warned agitators for a revisit of the issue against heating up the polity, it looks like the matter is yet to be resolved.
