Cynthia’s murder: charge us for unprofessionalism not rape/murder – pharmacists

The management of Oxpharm specialities limited, the pharmacy where the drug, Rohypnol Flunitrazepam, was allegedly bought and used on the late Cynthia Osokoku has told their side of the story on how the two accused pharmacists were arrested.
The Chief Executive Officer of the pharmacy, Ike Ugwu while speaking with Channels Television’s correspondent, Yomi Otaigbe, expressed regret over the blanket charges placed on both the pharmacists – Osita Orji and Chukwunonso Maduokor, who were alleged to have dispensed the drug and the other accused persons.
Both pharmacists were arraigned together with the suspected killers of the deceased before a Yaba Magistrate Court on Monday.
The suspected killers, Okwumo Nwabufo and Ezike Olisaeloka, allegedly purchased the drug, most commonly known as date-rape drug, which was allegedly used on the late Cynthia.
Mr Ugwu pleaded with the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) to look carefully into the matter to prevent miscarriage of justice.
