8 suspected pipeline vandals arrested by Kogi police in Osara


Police in Kogi state arrested eight suspected pipeline vandals and impounded eleven trucks loaded with crude oil.
The Kogi state commissioner of police; Mohammed Katsina said the activities of the vandals caused oil to spill into the Osara river making it dangerous to health.
While parading the suspects at the Felele divisional police station in Lokoja, the police also displayed some of the equipment used during the operations.
The police will hand over the suspects to the newly constituted Federal Government taskforce on pipeline vandals and illegal bunkering for further prosecution.
