Univeristy don calls for return to old educational system

A former vice chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Ayo Banjo has bemoaned the poor state of education in the country, blaming the decadence on the current 6-3-3-4 system.
He called on the federal government to revert to the old 6-5-2-3 system of education.
Professor Banjo made the call at a forum in Lagos where he linked the failure of the current system particularly to the lack of commitment by successive governments who have failed to make it work.
