Plateau seeks urgent intervention for flood disaster

The Plateau state government is soliciting urgent assistance for victims of the recent flood disaster in the state.

No less than 10 bridges collapsed in the state, just as several farmlands were washed away when the flood hit the southern part of the state.
Bridges on the Federal highways were most affected and the state governor, Mr Jonah Jang says the government does have the financial strength to fix the bridges and the other damaged infrastructure.
He pleaded with the Federal Government for urgent intervention.
