Sultan, Muslim Leaders Meet in Ibadan for Unity

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar, is expected to lead prominent Muslims and Islamic organisations to a two-day meeting in ancient city of Ibadan, Oyo State to discuss the unity of Muslim community in Nigeria.
The chairman organising committee, Alhaji Ishaq Sanni, said in a statement in Ibadan yesterdaythat the meeting was facilitated by the Nigerian Muslims and Democracy Conference (NMDC).
According to him, the two-day meeting would hold at Premier Hotel, Ibadan from Friday July 5 to Sunday July 7, 2013.
He said the key objective of the meeting was to facilitate the coming together of all Muslims in Nigeria in order to make life more meaningful for the Muslims and to make the country a peaceful place to live.
