Kogi state central district gets dusk to dawn curfew

The Kogi state government has imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew throughout the Central Senatorial district of the state.
Governor Idris Wada in a state wide broadcast on Tuesday evening said this has become necessary because of the killing of innocent people in the area.
The governor, who assured people of the state to be calm, promised that the perpetrators of the act will be brought to book as soon as possible.
The governor said to ease the job of security operatives in the state he has made available seven Hilux cars to be distributed among Police, the State Security Service (SSS), and the military, assuring that his administration will live no stone unturned in tackling the security challenge in the state.
Meanwhile, the governor has also promised to take care of the medical bill of all those who sustained injuries in the deadly attack on the Deeper Life Bible church in Okene.
During a visit to the scene of the attack, Mr. Wada assured residents of the state that adequate security will be provided for all Muslim and Christian worshippers.
He also charged traditional rulers in the state to liaise with their subjects to provide necessary information for security agencies to combat the perpetrators of the attack.
