The
governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Godswill Akpabio has dismissed fears
that the lingering collapse of security caused by Boko haram in the
northern part of the country is a threat to foreign investors.
Governor Akpabio, who has just returned from the United States, where he went for a foreign investment drive told journalists in Abuja that the international community is excited to invest in Nigeria because of the huge potentials in the country.
The governor attended the meeting of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, where issues of constitution amendment and polio eradication dominated discussion.
He expressed optimism that President Goodluck Jonathan is moving in the right direction to address the nation’s security challenges.
