Mark, Chukwumerije disagree over Nigeria’s failed state status

Chairman Senate Committee on Education Senator Uche Chukwumerijie has warned that Nigeria is a failed state or on the verge of becoming a failed state.
Senator Chukwumerijie was speaking following a motion congratulating Nigeria on her 52^nd Independence Anniversary.
Senator Chukwumerijie likened Nigeria to a sleeping giant who has failed to make use of her potentials.
However, Senate President David Mark disagreed with Senator Chukwumerijie saying Nigeria has made progress in the past fifty two years.
